Eid Adha, the days before and after..

Guess what I'm listening to now? The Beatles. Yes.. i don't know what got into me, but suddenly their songs are playing in my head for a few days now. I feel like listening to The Beatles again.

And finally, I am at home, in the waking hours, long enough to upload pics and update the blog. Although, actually I really should be sleeping by now..

So apasal eh busy sangat the last few days.. let's see.

I was busy giler at work, trying to finish off whatever pending work and issues that needs to and can be finished before the holidays.

Then, the day before Eid went out with friends, and then with family. Watched 'Night at the Museum' -ok lah.. u all should go and see 'dum-dum'.

Then on Eid itself, Cik Alin held a steamboat party at her place. As usual.. the food at her place is superb. Kita pun tumpang sekaki celebrate eema and rushda's birthday. Last minute punya thing.. that day jugak went out to buy a cake.

Actually eema's birthday is on the 10th. And she was not too keen to hold it on that day, cause it's last minute, therefore nobody brought presents for her kan.. ala..kesian.. ok ok.. nanti kita beli presents.

Oh, and Rus came back safe and sound on Eid, Alhamdulillah. So now, I can go back to my normal routine. =D (or.. maybe not - since eema starts early morning school tomorrow.. =S)

Then, the day after Eid, we went to Jusco Tebrau City kejap. (tak sempat pulak nak amik2 gambar). Then after that, Mr & Mrs Bahrom, pulak ada jemput gi istana diorang in the afternoon. For 'Majlis Sotong Ketok dan Tahu Bakar' (direct translation : Hammered Squid and BBQued Tofu Gathering).

So, we all gathered there, ate Sotong Ketok with sambal rojak, tahu bakar, nasi lemak with kuah sotong kering. And of course, listened to stories of the old days, when Sotong Ketok used to be sold by the mobile sotong ketok seller. Yayi Bahrom wanted to re-live those days, by making some for the younger generations - his niece/nephews and grandchildren.

Alhamdulillah, dikurniakan dengan aunts and uncles yang terer2 masak.

Watch how it's done, and the interview in bahasa ibunda here>>.

can see? muka da tembam sikit.. asik makaaaaan aje..

and finally today, we stay home all day to prepare for 1st day of school tomorrow! It's a bigger event for Eema, attending P1 in a new school. And Nadhrah, going to school alone now, without Eema. I hope all goes well tomorrow. Ameen.

Oh. I also took leave today to see my 2 girls off - one in Sec 1 and one in Pri 1 this year. As for the boy in Pri 4, I shall continue to walk with him to school every morning and he would miss his elder sister unlike last year when we were a threesome. Tomorrow, it will be back to office for me after being away since 28 Dec.Hrumph.

Yup.. hectic. But fun. Everything was fine. Back to work soon.

Yara,
that's sweet, walking him to school every morning. bonding time..
kalau da ramai anak, sometimes the problem is giving our attention to any one particular child. So, that's a good chance.
