soon..

I was going to meet Pink, that day after work. We were planning and confirming the place, time, where to hang out semua, by email. Then in the last email of the day (i think last.. or could be 2nd last), she wrote this poem:

=<>=<>=<>=<>=
soon..
by Marlina Md Isa*

soon...
i will see you...

soon...
i will talk to you...

soon...
i will laugh with you...

yet

soon...
may never come...

soon...
is not guaranteed...

soon...
is not our right...

unless God wills it...
insya Allah

=<>=<>=<>=<>=

*notice the name? yeah.. if you all are going to copy this beautiful simple poem, u better give credit to the author. So copy along her name and the link too, alright? ;)

I was overwhelmed for a while, reading that poem. It's simple but it was a GREAT reminder to me. Termenung kejap.... how true it is.

We plan a lot of stuff: tasks to complete, people to meet, dreams to realize... but most of the time we forget that it'll only happen, if Allah wills it to happen (insyaAllah). Even a thing planned for the next minute. Next hour, jgn cakap ah..

So in everything that we plan, we cannot confidently say, "I WILL", but "InsyaAllah, I will".

But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds.
Al Quran, At-Takwir 81:29

oops ! I was going to say, how very true - but Esah already beat me to it. Great minds think alike eh?
anyway - yes, how very true, blossom!

salaam awak

your friend is indeed right. thank you for the reminder. that is one of the vital reason why i taught the children to say insyaa allaah whenever we speak of the future. we tend to take many things for granted.

although i cannot carry those few who tend to abuse the term insyaa allaah at their own expense. know what i mean? macam gerrram kan kengkadang?

Hi esah =D,
Yes, and so Allah SWT and Rasulullah SAW reminds us.

Kak Teh,
Great minds think alike;
Fools don't differ.. =D
But you are among the great minds, I see..

YT,
I know what u mean! To some insyaAllah means 'tengok dulu' or 'most probably not'. I use to get that so much, that when somebody tells me insyaAllah - I'll think 'tak lah tu..'

but alhamdulillah, now I've met lots of people who uses insyaAllah, as it SHUD be used. Hopefully with our constant correct use, other people don't get the perception i had.

Hi Ann,

Glad to hear u're all ok. Family is fine.. hopefully we'll meet during Hari Raya eh.. kat rumah our darling SIL tu ke.. =D

Pak tuo,

Nobody knows when is 'soon'.

For arabic fonts/dates tu:
Under the 'Settings' Tab, there's Formatting.
In here, you can select the Date Language - so I chose Arabic (United Arab Emirates) - or there are some other Arabic countries - don't know what's the diff.

After that, you can also choose your Date Header Format, and your timestamp format - to show the arabic part.
