"Is it they who would portion out the Mercy of their Lord? It is We who portion out between them their livelihood in the life of this world; and We raise some of them above others in ranks, so that some may command work from others; But the Mercy of thy Lord is better than the (wealth) which they amass."

Do you see your role any different from that of someone else?
Salam pakcik,
I see many roles in our lives. With regards to our roles to Allah SWT, as the servant, I see we are all the same. The best in rank, in this aspect is those who are of course best in taqwa. And only Allah SWT knows, who is better in taqwa.
With regards to our roles to each other on earth - I have been assigned the role of a woman, a wife, a mother, a worker etc.. and each role my rank is not the same as the others. In some I am higher than others, and in some I am lower.
