I saw a movie the other day, about human trafficking
At the end of the movie, it says that apparently 800,000 humans, including boys, girls, teenagers and women are being trafficked across international borders each year.
Humans are being trafficked for sickening sex trade, slavery or forced labour.
You know, the news we read about all those missing girls and boys, who have never been found?... I can't help wondering if they have gone missing under this exact circumstance. Imagine 800,000 human a year.
In the movie, they showed the different ways they get their victims. E.g. Having an audition for modeling project overseas to select their victims. Or in another case, a man deceived a woman by pretending to be crazy about her - and then lead her to the 'agents' where she was then locked, raped, threatened and finally sent to another country. Then as for the young boys and girls - there are some very poor parents with many kids in the under developed nations, who would sell one of their children to the agents, for some money. Then there are others who are just kidnapped in broad daylight.
Those people who does the kidnapping or deception, will then sell the humans they caught, to the traffickers.
Some kids fall sick from very bad living conditions and health and they die, before they are shipped out. - I think these are the more lucky ones out of those victims. Of course the luckiest ones, would be the ones being saved before the whole thing ruins their mental health and lives. But it's hard to imagine how they can be normal people after that.
Astaghfirullah. This is not just a movie. It's really happening.
It's sad, that in our region like in Singapore and Malaysia.. so far, I've never heard or seen this term being mentioned in the news. Which leads me to believe that in our region, these animals have been able to do it without being exposed. How else can you explain children who disappear just like that?
Ya Allah! SAVE our children from ever being subjected to such cruelties. Ameen.
THINK about it.

Salam Erni, =)
I share your thoughts about those missing kids we have read in the papers for so long now. The most recent case being Nurin in Malaysia. Besides the sex trade, some of the children have also become victims of black magic, evil worship and whatever...remember Adrian Lim in Singapore, Mona Fandey in Malaysia and the Dukun Liur in Indonesia. People can get very sick in the head and this is very worrying.
"Ya Allah! SAVE our children from ever being subjected to such cruelties. Ameen." Ameen to that many times over.
