cakap biar ber..

Member cakap, "ada orang tu, dia pakai cermin mata kat belakang, u nampak tak?"

I'm the type, who, when people ask me to look at a person, i don't immediately look, so that it's not so obvious that we're mengumpating talking about that person.

So, I imagined dulu...

"Really? Apasal dia nak pakai cermin mata dia gitu?", I asked.

"Huh?"

I found out soon, that she actually meant, "...dia pakai cermin mata, (<--notice the comma here) kat belakang...(he is behind)".

So do you see how important it is, to apply the comma, even in our conversations. This can be achieved by having a slight pause, where the comma should be. Not doing so, can result in quite a different meaning, as shown above.

bak kata pepatah.. cakap biar ber alas comma.

by the way, i never did find out what the story was, of that man yang pakai cermin mata, kat belakang. Cause after that, we were just laughing..

Nasib baik comma punya pasal, jangan sampai jadi coma sudahlah...:)

Yelah, I always tell my children to make sure they use the proper punctuation marks when speaking if they don't want people to misunderstand them. Kekadang tu, when they get all excited they speak macam bullet train and the meaning get lost in there somewhere.
