home alone

i can't remember the last time i was ever alone at home. Maybe never?

On monday (i think it was monday) I went to the new national library to get resources for my assignment. masyaAllah, i tell you.. the place is big and... cantik ah jugak. Taking the lift down, from 11th floor, with a view of the city and the road below, was like taking the roller coaster, sikit. Weeeee!!!

This week eema completed her madrasah orientation :) next one, next month. during orientation, ada talk for parents. We learned how boys learn differently from girls. Shall read more on that, after this semester's exams. insyaallah.
(Actually, I have lots of books waiting to be read.)

Then, Hadi pulak ada musical. he was asked to join by his teacher. He didn't let us go and watch. Dia malu, he said. But we did, without his knowledge. Sedih sey kalau tak pegi tengok. It's quite a big scale production.

He was delighted when I surprised him with a videoclip, I had quickly put up, of his performance. (balik aje from his musical, kelam kabut buat) =D

but the part I AM happy about is, back at home, when i asked him to do his isya' prayers, he said that he had already done it during the show interval, backstage. Alhamdulillah. This is what I want - the children can go do whatever they like (as long as tak langgar syara'), but they must always be God-conscious.

*disclaimer - that musical poster was, of course, doctored by the mother to feature her own son :p.

Serious news:
An auntie was admitted to ICU, day before yesterday. She had a mild stroke few days back and was admitted, and da balik. But now her health has taken a turn for the worse. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun.

Help me pray for her recovery and comfort, and what's best for her. And to her daughter, be patient darling sis. Perservere. It's Allah's test.

And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast,
Who say, when a misfortune striketh them: Lo! we are Allah's and Lo! unto Him we are returning.
Al Quran, Al Baqarah 2:155-156

*takes a deep breath*
