The intricacies of Arabic words

Have to learn Arabic, have to know.. even if it's just a little bit each day.

How words are being used in the Quran is so intricate - the selection of the words, the tense.. it all has deeper meaning. This is what I hope to FEEL and know in my heart, when I read the Quran. Aamiin ya Robbal A'lamiin.

In any case, I'm happy to learn something new about this word (walyatalatthof) used in surah Al Kahf.

If you understand Malay, this is a nice informative article exploring the word 'walyatalatthof' by Ustaz Hasrizal. May Allah reward him for his good effort.

It is going to take an awful length of time to learn Arabic to a stage we can understand Al Quran. I have seen a word for word translation and this with the help of one, if not more than one book of tafsir, we can get started to understand. But it is not wise to do a self study of tafsir without attending tafsir classes in the mosques or suraus.

Salam Pakcik. Yes, it's going to take a lot of effort.. I don't even know if I will be able to be good at Arabic in my lifetime.. but still I'd like to try and achieve what I can..with the intention of being able to feel the Quran.

InsyaAllah, I won't depend on self study alone for knowledge. Thank you pakcik :):)
