my life is NOT boring

Yup. My life is NOT boring. That's for sure now.
Some more 'interesting' thing happened to me.

I was going to go to work yesterday morning - not enthusiastically. I approached the driver side of the door. Then I saw it. The driver's side window, was smashed. Bits and pieces of glass on my seat, and just outside the car.

MasyaAllah. I couldn't BELIEVE it was happening to ME.. Took me a few seconds to register 'Biar betul?!?!' I stood there for a few seconds more.. confirming what I'm seeing. I took a deep breath. Ya Allah, this is truly a test. And I am determined to be among those who, when a tragedy befalls them, they say, "Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun". I'm going to remain calm.

I looked at the IU unit, the thief, had taken my cash card - that was covered by the IU cover actually. IU cover was also missing.
Ok then.. what to do next? Oh yes, of course. Call husband.

He told me to call the police. I asked him.. "call '999'? "
"Ya lah."
Oh ok.. i thought perhaps there were some other numbers to call for 'not-such-an emergency' case.

And so, I called them, the policewoman who answered said, the police will be at my place shortly. I had time to ask Rus to come down with my camera. So I got a few pics, here's one.

The police arrived 10 mins later. They interviewed me : No, I have no suspect in mind, yes, I topped up the card just yesterday and this place and at this time.
After that they spent the next 30 mins or so investigating around the vicinity, taking pictures of the smashed window, taking fingerprints and what not.

In the meantime, I was thinking.. masyaAllah.. MY car.. out of the tens of cars around here.. the thief picked MY car. The one that is among the smallest, and with an IU cover. And NO OTHER car, suffered the same fate. Qada' and qadar. Remain calm, and life goes on.

On the bright side of yesterday.. I inevitably took the day off from work. I had lunch with hubby, AND the car was repaired on the same day.

So, I have the car today.. but only for half a day, because after that.. hubby is using it for the next two weeks till his car is repaired.

I'll be looking forward to taking 'green' transportation home this evening - and learn to live again, with some inconveniences.
Come to think of it, it's a bit like fasting... hmm.

OK lah..have a nice week ahead everyone!

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun.

I guess we always hear stories of such crimes but never expect them to happen personally to us until Wham! Bang! when it hits us, everything becomes a blur for a moment. It is commendable that you remained quite calm under the circumstances.

Hope you have a good week ahead Erni =)

Btw, my trip to Melaka last Friday went off smoothly...no rain at all and no traffic jam pergi balik, Alhamdulillah.

Hairil,
Yes, alhamdulillah! it's the cash card and not the car!

Yup.. i have to think thrice before uttering things like that..

dadha,

I'm fine, alhamdulillah.. mood too. Many other things to be thankful for.

BUT you are still very much welcomed, to come over and entertain me, if you're free. :p

I shall not be posting any pictures for 2 main reasons:

1 - I no longer have a blog to post the pictures

2 - No pictures at all were taken during the trip
