While I was stuck in the loooooong queue at the SG customs, it occured to me, a hadith I read before :
Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Fear the two things that bring
curses.” They asked, “What are the two things that bring curses, O Messenger of
Allaah?” He said: “When a person relieves himself in the road where people walk
or in the place where they seek shade.”
(Reported by Abu Dawud, 23; see also Saheeh
al-Jaami’, 110)
I WONDER if it also applies to other situations where you create the anger or frustration of other people which causes them to curse you. Such as this - inconsiderately cutting queues and then being arrogant about it.
Being cursed....
I can think of another person who is always being cursed. A leader of a country. So many citizens 'under' him - and when the welfare of the country and the people is not his first priority - but greed, wealth and status - then every single day he is being cursed by people who feel that they have been abused- financially, mentally and basically in the way they live. I can't imagine how the leader can ever feel any peace and tranquility.
Ya Allah, make me patient and save us and our children from the disasters of this world and the Hereafter.
