The Transformer Ride

Since last week, I've been hearing of a few deaths. Death makes us realise, how unimportant most things are on earth - especially man-defined achievements. (Money, big houses, trophies, awards). Alhamdulillaah, this is making me feel grounded. Tonight I have to attend a big televised event. The first time for me. Could be the last. I don't know.

Anyway, it's an award night, and our drama 'Yakin' has been nominated for best drama special (or something like that). I.e. this would be in the category of dramas made for special occasions like Eid, Father/Mother days etc. People are excited. I am too. But insyaa Allah, the thought of our limited time on earth, will help keep me grounded. Aamiin. I'm most afraid of being lost in the limelight of it all.

So anyhow, back to the subject of death. Have you ever heard of how, depending on the results of our Life Tests, how our grave, can seem so wide and spacious, as far as the eye can see? Don't you wonder how?

Well, the other day, I was at USS and we took the Transformers ride. It's a 4D ride. So, we're inside this car, that seats 9 person.
The car does not travel far along it's track - but the image shown on the screen on the different sides of the limited area, makes us feel that we are traveling far and fast, moving from one location in a 'city' to another. And all the while, we're just in that car, that is not really going anywhere.

This got me thinking.. masyaa Allah, this is a man-made thing - and it feels quite real. And man's knowledge is just a tiny drop of water at the tip of a needle, dipped into the ocean. Of course, God can do even more than we can every imagine.

To be in a grave, yet it's spacious? Allah has power over all things.

Pakcik, I only wrote & directed ONE TV drama last year - only because I was eager to share one story with as many people as possible. I don't have plans at this moment to do more for TV, illa masyaa Allah.

And I am far from being a celebrity! I think you're a bigger celebrity than I.. :P

Takpe lah.. I'll be happy just to be a celebrity in Allah's eyes.
