the wind

Such a way to exist
To be noticed
when grass waves
And flowers dance
When the trees rustles
and windmills run

When head is tilted
and eyes are closed
feeling the embrace
of the wind, soft
as it gently flows
and peace within, grows

Alhamdulillaah, for the wind.

Proud of the Palestinians

Palestine

A people punished perpetually.

For defending their homes.

Petty evil enemies playing with lives

Palestinian's patience inspires

The world sees their plight

And stands proud with them

Shouting #freePalestine !

Palestine will prevail.

An employee in an MNC

I guess this is how it is in every MNCs

Because everyone there is just an employee

Management competing with each other

To earn even more money and borrowed power.

To control others under their eye

Waste productivity for their KPIs

Doesn't matter if it's of no real value

Just as long as they get their due.

The real performers are kept at bay

So that the superiors can claim that name

of achievements under his 'supervision'

Plagiarising contributions of individual persons

So, work, if you need the money, just be aware

Do your best during work hours, but don't ignore self care

You're not contracted to work twenty four by seven

The company will still run without your presence.

May God guide and support you.

A message without words

What if I tell you, that we can send and receive some messages without the need for words.

Messages that are transmitted by other than words, carry such deeper meanings, and emotions and awesomeness.   Messages that when transformed into words, or worse, into languages with limited expressions and descriptions, loses it's grandeur, and limits it's meanings.

We can get these messages if we observe and ponder over them, and pay attention to receiving them.

Allaah tells us, that his ayahs are in the heavens and on earth, it is in everything that we can observe and in those which man have yet to discover.

I am in awe, just thinking about them and absorbing them all - these signs (ayahs) that are all around us.    I no longer want to try to reduce everything into limited words.

I want the ayahs to engulf my heart, granting me understanding of God's infinite knowledge and wisdom and intelligence and beauty and power and more.   Aamiin.

a message without words

yet, able to engulf the heart and soul

one that makes you believe,

gives hope and security, and saves your dignity

a message that you see, hear or feel

that you need not try to convey, within you, let it stay

breathe, think, seek and pray.

Daud and Sulaiman

Have you heard the story
Of a man who sings praises to his Lord
And they join him in harmony -
the mountains and the birds

Loyalty to the One Creator he preached
He seeks no reward from the people he reached
He aims for the World of eternal bliss
A land where no sadness nor pain exist

Have you heard the story
Of a man who commands the wind
Genies and the birds abide by him
Teleportation a breeze

Loyalty to the One Creator he preached
He seeks no reward from the people he reached
He aims for the World of eternal bliss
A land where no sadness nor pain exist

I am the traveler.

I am the traveler,
waiting for the moment
I would be leaving for home.

Meanwhile, I try to fill up my hours,
doing things that may benefit others
or just floating on the river of time.

When I finally leave for home,
I hope to leave in the best state.
Appreciated by those I've met along the way.

I hope we'll be able to meet again
In the beautiful garden of my permanent home
Reminiscing the good old days.

Purpose of Life

life pass fast
time is scarce

all these tests
they don't last

your soul's behest
to always redress

do your best
know you're blessed

someone else's window

You’re looking into someone else’s window.
Seeing, feeling, believing
That it matters.

While your own life is slow
Once contenting
Now belittling

You think the grass is greener on the other side.
Once you’re there, you will realise
T’was just your shadow deceiving you from where you stand.

Stand, be confident of who you are
Make the most of where you live and breathe
Your life is as wonderful as you believe.

Looking forward

Looking forward to a time that may or may not come.
Forgetting to live the moment, wasting time.

Subatomic supersonic spaces in between.

Random. Not really related.
I was just suddenly reminded of this cool line by Jason Mraz.
A songwriter, a thinker, a poet, a genius with words.

Haiku : Soul

My soul does not age.
The container, it degrades.
I adapt to it.

Solitude

Solitude

To be alone.
But not lonely.

To withdraw
But not from one's self.

To be secluded
But not from one's inner thoughts.

To be isolated
But not from one's heart.

To retreat
But not from God.

To reflect upon and to nourish
The soul.

..... (because silence can be poetic too)

.....

I want to make a leave application
A month or two long
From all the positions I'm holding
From being me.
I don't want to see anyone
I don't want to do what I must do
Other than my duties to God
Other than for God
…..
…..
…..
…..
But,
…..
Being a wife is also a sacred duty
Being a daughter, a mother and being me.
…..
…..
…..
…..
Or maybe I can do what Abraham A.S had to do
Be silent for three days
For a different reason of course
For peace and tranquility if I may
…..
…..
All these wishful thoughts,
I think I will do my solat.
~ Madame Blossom ~
*Solat, is a Muslim prayer act, with a defined set of body positions and recitations.

To have time

To have time to worry and be sad,
To have time to be happy and be glad.

Is it a luxury now?

Wednesday, March 27, 2013

We, the...

I have many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now.
No, you just won't understand.

I have so many rants going through my head, especially of the Pharaoh.
We have to overcome this disguised slavery.

Maybe we need to move.
To a place where we can live a normal life.
Not of life of constant pressure to work work work
- to feed the Pharaoh's greed.

I cannot imagine how it'll be for our kids.
Is there a way out?

Meet me at sunrise! (as opposed to meeting me at 7:30am)

Cooped up in a modern cave.
Unaware what part of the day it is.
Very dependent on the clock.
To have a sense of time.
Don't like the numbers on clocks.
They tell you to hurry up.
Or that you need to wait.
We are the clock's slave.

It'd be nice if our time
Is governed by parts of day.
'We'll leave at the break of dawn'.
'Meet me at sunrise!'
'I'll be home by sunset.'
How much more at ease we'll be.
With the task at hand.
Not enslaved by the seconds and minutes
Like fingers tapping, ticking away.

rainfall

Rainfall, cool skies;
A bird dances in the air,
Welcoming the shower.
Subhanallah walhamdulillah.

Tortoise

At times, I want to be like the tortoise.
Going about life at a very slow pace,
To the urgencies it's oblivious.
Savouring time to absorb
Nature and ideas, to ponder.
And when the world gets too crazy
Retreat into the shell.

Friendship

Friendship is not about demanding for each other's time.
It's not about having to see each other's face.

It is about praying for them in your silent prayers
and respecting their space.
