The Final Message

From the time God put man on earth, God has always given him guidance.

God kept on assigning messengers among men, to teach us about our Maker, to worship only One God. Therefore we have known messengers like Noah A.S. and Abraham A.S. and Moses A.S. and Jesus A.S. - they all preach the same religion that is the religion of worshiping ONE God, the Maker.

However, a lot of people either don't believe in the message brought by the Messengers or diverted away from the True Message. Satan made sure of that, because he promised God that he will do all he can to divert people from the true worship of One God.

God sent the Final Messenger, Muhammad SAW, with the Final message for the people of all nations and all times. God has promised to guard this Message from being changed or distorted.

This message now remains intact and relevant for man till the end of time.
Our last hope and source for True Guidance. To God we belong, and to Him will be our return.

Read the Final Message.
Read the Qur'an.

easily distracted?

How easily distracted I am now.
I strongly believe it's due to my usage of facebook and twitter.
The mind is slowly conditioned to process small amount of information before moving the attention to the next one.
So after daily conditioning, it responds to most situation that way.

Okay, perhaps it's not just FB and TW. Basically our modern life is designed that way. Look at how the news is being presented on TV.
We're given the news about war and in the next few seconds, some happy news at home. There is no time to ponder or react emotionally.

Alhamdulillah, we still have our prayers and Qur'an reading to train our mind to stay focused. I hope. insyaa Allah.

Meet me at sunrise! (as opposed to meeting me at 7:30am)

Cooped up in a modern cave.
Unaware what part of the day it is.
Very dependent on the clock.
To have a sense of time.
Don't like the numbers on clocks.
They tell you to hurry up.
Or that you need to wait.
We are the clock's slave.

It'd be nice if our time
Is governed by parts of day.
'We'll leave at the break of dawn'.
'Meet me at sunrise!'
'I'll be home by sunset.'
How much more at ease we'll be.
With the task at hand.
Not enslaved by the seconds and minutes
Like fingers tapping, ticking away.

God forbid that vice be embraced

"Vice is a monster of so frightful mien
As to be hated needs but to be seen;
Yet seen too oft, familiar with her face,
We first endure, then pity, then embrace."
― Alexander Pope

What will happen when there is no one left who would invite to all that is good, enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong (in a wise and respectful way, if I might add)?

God forbid that vice be embraced by all.

The last week

Ya Allaah, in You I put my trust. You know best what is better for me in the long run. I need to learn my limits. I know we learn from mistakes.

Ya Rahman, make me calm and strong in facing these worldly challenges ahead of me.

In the end, what's most important is the purpose of life.

I am capable, insyaAllaah, of switching off. Let this be the last week to go all out for that smaller vision, and leave the results to Allaah SWT. Ya Allaah, make my task easy for me.

Then as for the biggest mission, make me stronger ya Allaah, make it easy for us ya Allah. Accept our good deeds and worship Ya Allaah. And blot out our sins. Aamiin.

Laa hawla wala quwwata illa billaah.
